Square People

Menschen auf dem Marktplatz von Nottingham. Sie arbeiten, predigen, warten, sitzen in der Sonne, betteln oder rauchen. Diese Bilder habe ich 1981 bis 1984 gemalt und einige dieser Personen kannte ich persönlich von meinen Foto-Streifzügen durch die Stadt.

People on Nottingham square. They are working, praying, waiting in the sun, begging for money or smoking. I painted these in the period 1981 to 1984 and some of the people I got to know personally while I took pictures wandering through the city centre.
